Nestled in the serene Crai Valley, this newly expanded group accommodation combines Poplar Tree Eco Lodge and Beech Tree Eco Lodge to create a spacious retreat that comfortably sleeps up to 21 guests across the two lodges. Whether you’re planning a family reunion, a celebration with friends, or a restorative getaway, this property offers everything you need for an unforgettable stay.

Crai Valley Eco Lodges boasts breathtaking views of the Black Mountains, offering a peaceful escape with modern amenities. These two semi-detached lodges can be booked together to form a larger unit while retaining their cosy, welcoming charm. With shared facilities like a relaxing hot tub and expansive garden, your group can enjoy the perfect blend of privacy and shared moments.

Each lodge is thoughtfully designed with spacious interiors and well-equipped facilities, ensuring a stress-free stay for large groups.

Both lodges have step-free access and wider doorways throughout. The downstairs twin bedrooms in both lodges, with rise-and-recline beds and ensuite wet rooms, are designed so guests with limited mobility can enjoy a comfortable stay.

Each living room has a handcrafted media unit, built by a local craftsman, housing a 65" TV and a 3D electric fireplace, with soft LED lighting for the evenings. Sink into Chesterfield-style sofas, settle into the corner armchair with its own side light, or gather round the pool table for a competitive night once the walking boots are off. Why don't you open the patio doors on warmer days and let the outside in.

• Poplar Tree Lodge: Accommodates up to 12 guests with its five beautifully designed bedrooms. With its open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area, socialising is easy. The lodge also features a wheelchair-accessible bedroom and bathroom, making it ideal for inclusive stays.

• Beech Tree Lodge: Accommodates up to 9 guests in its four spacious bedrooms. It also offers equally impressive amenities, complementing Poplar Tree Lodge with additional space for group gatherings.

Both lodges feature:

• Fully equipped kitchens with large fridge freezers, double ovens, and dishwashers.

• Both lodges provide a wheelchair-accessible bedroom and wetroom, making it ideal for inclusive stays.

• Comfortable lounges with 65in large-screen smart TVs, 3D electric fireplaces and panoramic views.

• Beds have quality pocket sprung mattresses, and every bed is finished with a genuine Welsh wool blanket from Melin Tregwynt, a woollen mill in Pembrokeshire that's been weaving there for generations.

• Outdoor spaces with BBQ facilities, garden furniture, and a children’s play area featuring a trampoline, climbing frame, swings, and more.

The shared garden is perfect for outdoor activities, offering plenty of space for sports and games. After a day exploring the Brecon Beacons, unwind in the hot tub, or simply enjoy the views of the valley and Llyn-y-Fan Lake from the patio. Keep an eye out for the magnificent Red Kites that often grace the skies above.

Located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, Crai Valley Eco Lodges is an ideal base for exploring the area's natural beauty. From hiking to the legendary Llyn-y-Fan Lake to spotting local wildlife, the opportunities for adventure are endless.

Crai sits within the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) International Dark Sky Reserve, one of only five such reserves in the world when it was designated in 2013, and still one of the darkest places in the UK. On a clear night the Milky Way is visible with the naked eye from the patio. 

There is a hot tub available for use by adults in the party. Children under the age of 16 years and pregnant ladies are not permitted to use the hot tub. Please refer to the safety guidelines available in the house before using the facilities if you are unsure. Please note that we empty, clean and refill all hot tubs after every stay, therefore your hot tub may take up to 12 hours to reach the required temperature.

The lodges are run on ground source heat pumps and solar power, with rainwater harvesting and solar thermal tubes providing hot water, and an EV charger on site powered by solar. None of this is on show, it just means your stay has a lighter footprint without you having to think about it.

• Superfast EV Charger available onsite for guests to use (charges apply).

• One Hot Tub - ( Not to be used after 22.00 )

• The hot tub is emptied, clean and refilled after every stay, therefore your hot tub may take up to 12 hours to reach the required temperature.

• Mountain bikes available to hire from the farm (£25 full day or £15 half day ). Drop offs and pickups at nearby routes and trails can also be arranged.

• The cottage is located on a working farm and young children should not be left to wander around the farm unsupervised.

• Mobile signal is not guaranteed on all networks.

• Half a mile of private fishing rights on the River Crai (one of the tributaries of the world famous salmon river, the Usk)

• Plenty of information in the cottage on local walks, cycle routes etc.

• Supermarket delivery available in the area.

• Zero tolerance policy to noise disturbance and parties due to the village location.
